Diego Daño

Diego Daño is a stand-up comedian born in Winterthur, Switzerland, in 1975, who left a career in engineering to work in comedy full time in Spain and has now spent more than ten years on stage. He met fellow comedians Eva Soriano and Fran Pati in 2015 on a monologue writing course, and the trio debuted together in the show Golfos Comedy. Daño went on to help start the open mic night La Cueva Comedy Club, which became a reference point on the Madrid comedy scene, and in February 2021 he co-founded El Golfo Comedy Club with comedian Nacho García, where he remains one of the most active resident performers, both hosting and performing. In 2019 he premiered his solo show Cupido Debe Morir, which has run for six seasons of sold out performances, and he has also created the show Viviendo para Instagram. His comedy is described as acid and unfiltered, with influences ranging from Bill Burr to Stewart Lee. Daño also hosts the podcast Entra o no Entra, interviewing professional stand-up comedians, and runs a personal YouTube channel featuring his stand-up material.
