Luis Sánchez Polack
About Luis Sánchez Polack
Luis Sánchez Polack, known as Tip, was a Spanish actor and humorist who worked in television, radio and theatre. His first comedy duo was Tip y Top, formed with Joaquín Portillo, whom he met at Radio Madrid.
He then formed Tip y Coll with José Luis Coll. The duo was active from 1967 to 1995, with humour that was often absurd and surreal, and became known for a sketch in which Tip acts as an interpreter, translating into deliberately badly pronounced French. Tip also wrote books, among them Cantares del Mío Tip and Santos varones, and he worked on the programme Este país necesita un repaso.
