About Miguel Noguera
Miguel Noguera Lovén is a Spanish humorist, illustrator and writer born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on 12 November 1979. At age three he moved with his mother to Mallorca following his parents' divorce, and he later earned a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona. Noguera is best known for his long running solo stage show Ultrashow, an atypical piece somewhere between a stand-up monologue, a lecture and a theatrical performance, in which he presents around twenty to thirty unrelated mental images and ideas drawn from drawings and notes he makes daily, illustrated with projected material including his own drawings, images found online and photographs taken on his phone. He performs the roughly eighty minute show alone on stage at venues ranging from independent comedy rooms such as Teatreneu in Barcelona to festivals and museums including the MACBA, and has staged it repeatedly at Bilbao's Tracking festival, at Valencia's La Rambleta and at Madrid's Teatro del Barrio. Noguera is regarded as one of the leading figures of Spain's PostHumor scene, a style of comedy that asks the audience to make an interpretive effort. He has published several books, including Hervir un Oso, co-written with Jonathan Millán, and is a regular collaborator on the comedy duo Venga Monjas' online sketches.
