Patricia Sornosa
About Patricia Sornosa
Patricia Sornosa came to comedy by way of the theatre. She started in 2002 with the amateur company Artal teatre, and from 2004 she wrote and starred in comic plays together with Bárbara Lara and Mónica Zamora. Two of those pieces, Nos lo montamos solas and Esquizoféminas, reached the finals of the Café Teatro Valencia competition.
In 2009 she began directing her own plays, among them Camarones desesperados, Réquiem para Damien, Amortajados and Patatas viudas. On the stand-up side her monologues, sharp and openly feminist, have been broadcast on Comedy Central and on Late motiv, the programme of Andreu Buenafuente. In 2017 the Circuito Café Teatro Valencia competition gave her both the jury's first prize and the award for best script.
