Michel Gammenthaler

Michel Gammenthaler (born 17 August 1972 in Zurich) is a Swiss comedian, presenter and magician who lives in the canton of Zurich. His interest in magic began at age seven when he received a magic kit as a gift, and a later encounter with the Zurich magician Telsino set his career goal of becoming a magician. Because his parents insisted on a "serious" education, he first completed a commercial apprenticeship at a travel agency, and later worked as a journalist and as a coordinator for luxury limousine rental and temporary staffing before earning a diploma from the Kaltenbach Bar School in Zurich. Gammenthaler eventually combined his conjuring skills with stand-up comedy, becoming one of the best-known figures of the German-speaking stand-up and cabaret scene. His distinctive blend of magic and comedy earned him the Salzburger Stier cabaret prize in 2010, and he has continued to perform as a comedian and magician on Swiss stages for more than two decades.
