About Seann Walsh
Seann Walsh (born 2 December 1985), born Sean Christopher Walsh, is an English stand-up comedian and actor. His long and successful stand-up career includes three appearances on Live at the Apollo and an appearance on Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow. Since 2009 he has made numerous appearances on comedy panel shows, and between 2014 and 2017 he was a team captain over four series of Virtually Famous.
Walsh was born in Camden, London, and in his early years lived in Lewisham. His family later moved from London to Brighton, where he attended Dorothy Stringer School. When he was 17 he attended a stand-up comedy club in Brighton, an experience that sparked his interest in performing. In 2006 he attended a stand-up comedy course run by Jill Edwards comedy workshops at the Komedia comedy club and performed his first gig in November 2006. He won several early awards, including Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year (2009) and Chortle Best Newcomer (2009), and supported Stephen K. Amos on his 2008/09 and 2009/10 tours.
For six episodes in 2013 he hosted Seann Walsh World, and in 2013 and 2014 he hosted Seann Walsh's Late Night Comedy Spectacular. In 2019 he co-hosted ten episodes of the Netflix game show Flinch. He has discussed his father's heroin addiction and his own experiences with nerves in his specials "Kiss" and "Seann Walsh: Is Dead, Happy Now?" and on his podcast Class Clown. In 2022 he finished fifth in series 22 of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, and in 2026 he returned for the spin-off I'm a Celebrity... South Africa, where he was the first contestant eliminated.
