About Gary Owen
Gary Owen, born Gary Stephen Owens on July 26, 1974, in Cincinnati, Ohio, is an American stand-up comedian and actor. He adopted the stage name Gary Owen, dropping the "s" from his surname, to avoid confusion with television announcer Gary Owens. His national breakthrough came in 1997 when he appeared on Black Entertainment Television's stand-up showcase Comic View. In 2016 he starred in his own BET series, The Gary Owen Show. In 2024 he released the stand-up special Broken Family, addressing his divorce, dating and family life.
