About Joe DeRosa
Joe DeRosa (born August 6, 1977) is an American stand-up comedian, actor, restaurateur, musician, and podcaster. He got his start in comedy performing as part of a comedic musical duo called Deep at the New Road Brewhouse in his hometown of Collegeville, Pennsylvania. After the duo split, DeRosa began performing stand-up regularly at the Laff House in Philadelphia before moving to New York City and working the comedy clubs. Beginning in 2006, he co-hosted the Uninformed radio show with Bill Burr on Sirius Satellite Radio, which later ran as a podcast until ending in 2009.
In 2009, DeRosa starred in his first half-hour Comedy Central Presents special, and Comedy Central Records released his first album, The Depression Auction, in 2010. He went on to record further albums including Return of the Son of Depression Auction (2011), You Will Die (2013), Mistakes Were Made: The B Sides (2014), and the audio version of his first one-hour special, You Let Me Down, which debuted on Comedy Central in 2017. As a writer, he worked on The Pete Holmes Show, the Netflix series Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, and Pete Holmes' HBO series Crashing.
As an actor, DeRosa appeared in series such as Louie, Bored to Death, Inside Amy Schumer, and Sullivan & Son, voiced Rufus Bellows in the video game Grand Theft Auto V (2013), and played the recurring character Dr. Caldera across all six seasons of the AMC series Better Call Saul. On November 14, 2015, he performed at Madison Square Garden as an opening act for Bill Burr.
