Comedians born in Mortain

Mortain, since joined into Mortain-Bocage, holds a hillside in the Manche among the hedged fields and small woods of the Normandy bocage, with waterfalls dropping through the gorge below the town. Heavy fighting passed through here during the Normandy campaign and the centre was rebuilt afterwards.

Baptiste Lecaplain was born in Mortain.
