Comedians born in Roubaix
Nord, France ๐ซ๐ท
Roubaix, in the Nord department close to Lille and the Belgian border, grew into a powerhouse of the textile industry during the nineteenth century. Today its grand industrial architecture has found new uses, most famously at La Piscine, an art museum housed in a former swimming pool. The city gives its name to the Paris-Roubaix cycling race. Its cultural venues and closeness to Lille place it within a vibrant northern French performance scene.
