Comedians born in La Spezia

Set at the head of a wide gulf on the eastern Ligurian coast, La Spezia is one of Italy's principal naval ports, its harbour ringed by hills. The surrounding Gulf of Poets, named for the writers it inspired, lies close to the celebrated villages of the Cinque Terre. The city is home to a naval base, a maritime museum and a busy seafront.
