Comedians born in Santarcangelo di Romagna
Italy ๐ฎ๐น
A short way inland from Rimini, Santarcangelo di Romagna rises on a hill over the Romagna countryside, its medieval quarter and fortress built above tunnels of soft tufa rock hollowed out beneath the town. The screenwriter and poet Tonino Guerra grew up here.
Each summer the town draws visitors from across Italy for a festival of contemporary theatre and performance, a fitting stage for the live comedy that Italy's stand-up movement keeps bringing to new towns, and Santarcangelo is also home to comedian Daniele Luttazzi.
