About Andrew Thomas Lee

Andy Lee (born 24 May 1981), born Andrew Thomas Lee, is an Australian comedian, television presenter, musician and children's writer. He is known for working alongside Hamish Blake as part of the comedy duo Hamish & Andy. Lee attended Balwyn Primary School and Camberwell Grammar School, and studied commerce at the University of Melbourne, where he met comedic partner Hamish Blake in 2001. In 2006 he was announced as Cleo's Bachelor of the Year.

Lee and Blake first worked together on a show called Radio Karate for RMIT University's student television company RMITV, and later hosted a televised comedy program on the Seven Network, The Hamish and Andy Show. In 2011 the program was cut back to a weekly Friday show as the duo pursued other opportunities.

Lee was a founding member of the Melbourne band Zoophyte with his brother Cameron. In 2016 he authored the children's book Do Not Open This Book, illustrated by Heath McKenzie, which became a very successful, award-winning series.
