About Vince Sorrenti

Vince Sorrenti (born March 21, 1961) is an Australian stand-up comedian, writer and television presenter from Punchbowl, New South Wales. He is of Italian descent and performs nationally and internationally at sports hospitality, charity events, corporate events, club venues and private parties, appearing at around 200 events per year.

While studying architecture at Sydney University, Sorrenti played rugby union and featured heavily in the acclaimed Architecture Revues; it was there and at the newly opened Sydney Comedy Store that he cut his teeth as a performer. In the late 1980s he lived and worked as a stand-up comic in New York City, where he was spotted by MTV and became the host of the national Big Blank Show, a live variety and video show that aired nightly. He began hosting the Australian version of the game show Let's Make a Deal in 1990, and has appeared on numerous Australian talk shows including Tonight Live with Steve Vizard and Q&A. His catch-phrase is "Unbelievable!".

Between 2001 and 2007, Sorrenti appeared as the lawyer in the comedy series Fat Pizza and the film Fat Pizza vs. Housos. He has also co-written two films: the publicly funded training film No Laughing Matter (1991), in which he played all seven characters and which won Best Training Film at the Berlin Film Awards, and the feature Gino (1994), co-written with Larry Buttrose and nominated for an AFI Award for Production Design. In August 2018 he was announced as a presenter on the Nine Network travel series Helloworld, debuting as the Italy and France travel reporter.
