Nairon Oseas Alves Barreto

Ze Lezin is a comedy character created and performed by Brazilian humorist Nairon Oseas Alves Barreto, born on August 6, 1959, in Joao Pessoa, Paraiba. A graduate in Communications and Law from the Federal University of Paraiba (UFPB), Barreto first developed the character while telling jokes between numbers in a university folkloric dance group. The Ze Lezin persona, originally called Ze Paraiba, has been on stage for over 40 years and is one of the longest-running comic characters in Brazilian regional humor.

Nairon Barreto reached national audiences when he joined Rede Globo's "Escolinha do Professor Raimundo" hosted by Chico Anysio in 1998, performing on the show for six years through its "Zorra Total" era. He also appeared on Rede Record's "Show do Tom." His comedy DVDs include "Ze Lezin Com Plateia VIP" (2005), "Ze Lezin da Paraiba" (2008, recorded at Teatro Guararapes in Recife) and "A Saga de um Matuto" (2011). In 2004 he hosted a TV program called "A Bodega do Ze" on TV Guararapes and a morning show on Radio Clube do Recife. His style blends Paraiba accent, cordel literature, jokes about rural life and characters like Miro and Vicente.

Ze Lezin tours throughout Brazil, with particular focus on the northeast and Brasilia, performing in theaters, comedy clubs and cultural centers. In recent years he has marked his 40th career anniversary with the show "40 Anos de Humor," presented in Brasilia, Recife and other major cities. Tour dates and ticketing are listed on his official website zelezin.com.br and on the Brazilian platform Sympla.
