Anders Stjernholm

Anders Stjernholm (born 22 November 1980) is a Danish journalist, stand-up comedian, chairperson of Ateistisk Selskab and politician. He debuted as a comedian in 2005 at Comedy Zoo in Copenhagen. Stjernholm trained as a journalist from SDU, where he wrote his bachelor's thesis on ADHD, a diagnosis he himself received at the age of 26. He is an ambassador for EN AF OS and the ADHD-foreningen. Stjernholm is an outspoken critic of religion and faith, or as he himself puts it a "glowing anti-theist". For a period until 2018 and again from 2022 he has been chairman of Ateistisk Selskab, and in between he was an ordinary board member of the association.

Stjernholm took part in the third season of Comedy Fight Club and made his first one-man show Find Lykken in 2011. In 2013 he made the show 20 ting der er galt i Danmark together with Martin Nørgaard, and he has been host of various radio programmes as well as the TV show Bingo Banko. In 2013 he was host of the much-discussed programme Danmark på piller on DR2. In the autumn of 2015 he made another one-man stand-up show called Grine eller Græde, and for the 2019 election campaign he made a so-called campaign show called Fra Blå til Rød til Vanvittig.

In March 2015 Anders Stjernholm announced his candidacy for the Folketing for the party Alternativet. He was a deputy in the Folketing for Ulla Sandbæk from 28 November 2017 to 3 March 2018, while she was on sick leave with a concussion. In 2021 he ran for the Borgerrepræsentationen in Copenhagen for Alternativet and received 318 personal votes, and in January 2025 he was called in as a substitute for Birgitte Kehler Holst. In 2015 he started, together with a number of volunteers, the association Eftertro, a counselling network for former believers and doubters, and published the book Eftertro. In 2019 he published the book Du er jo ateist! together with Ateistisk Selskab's then-chairman Simon Nielsen Ørregaard.
