About Melvin Kakooza
Melvin Kakooza first tried stand-up at an open mic at V58 in Aarhus in 2016, and the following year the Kampala-born comic, who grew up in Fredericia, won the Danish championship. In between he was offered the warm-up slot on Tobias Dybvad's one-man tour, Er det ikke dig fra Dybvaaaaad? The title came with a one-year contract with the comedy agency Funny Business Inc., which he turned down.

He played the lead in the Xee series Sunday, took part in the TV 2 entertainment show Stormester, and fronted his own late-night talk show, Melvin Kakooza Show, on the same channel, where he later presented 24 stjerners julekalender. He was also among the players in the third season of LOL: Den der ler sidst on Prime Video, and his film credits include Helt sort, Hesten og gæsten and Smæk for skillingen.
