Khalid Bounouar
About Khalid Bounouar
Khalid Bounouar is a German stand-up comedian, author, actor, and TV host born on March 27, 1990, in Aachen. He comes from an Algerian-Moroccan artist family and grew up immersed in performance from an early age. He made his first appearance with RebellComedy in 2012 and has been a member of the ensemble ever since, becoming one of the format's defining voices over more than 15 years on stage. He lives in the Cologne-Dusseldorf region of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Khalid Bounouar built his career through RebellComedy, a WDR-backed comedy ensemble (2014-2019) that gave platform to comedians with migration backgrounds and became a significant format in German public broadcasting. He has won multiple comedy awards including the Bielefeld Cabaret Prize, the Trier Comedy Slam, the Master Comedy Slam (Constantin Comedy Prize), the Dusseldorf Comedy Slam, and the Stuttgart Comedy Clash. From 2024, he co-hosts Die Quatsch Comedy Show on ProSieben alongside Tahnee Schaffarczyk, carrying on the legacy of the Quatsch Comedy Club - Germany's oldest professional stand-up institution, founded in 1992. His current solo program KHALIDIFY (touring in 2025) blends stand-up, live music with his band the 7abibos, crowd work, and storytelling into a kaleidoscopic one-man show. His comedy draws on his Algerian-Moroccan roots, the experience of being German with an immigrant background, and the collision of cultures - delivered with charm and physical energy.
Khalid Bounouar is actively touring with his KHALIDIFY solo program throughout 2025 and into 2026, with dates at venues including Haus der Springmaus in Bonn and Kulturfabrik Krefeld. He regularly performs in RebellComedy group shows and appears on Die Quatsch Comedy Show (ProSieben). Stand-up clips featuring Khalid are available on the RebellComedy YouTube channel.
