Prashasti Singh

Prashasti Singh is an Indian stand-up comedian, writer, actor, and improviser born on June 28, 1987, in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh. She is based in Mumbai and performs primarily in Hindi and Hinglish. A former MBA graduate from IIM Lucknow who spent years in corporate marketing at Star India, she left a stable career to pursue comedy full-time. Within just eight months of her first open mic appearance, she reached the top three of Amazon Prime Video's Comicstaan Season 1 (2018), quickly establishing herself as a distinctive voice in the Indian stand-up scene.

Prashasti Singh's breakthrough came on Comicstaan Season 1 (2018, Amazon Prime Video), where she finished in the top three and gained a large national following. In 2020, she appeared on Netflix's Ladies Up, an all-women stand-up series featuring her alongside Kaneez Surka, Supriya Joshi, and Niveditha Prakasam - one of the first major streaming specials to spotlight Indian female comedians. Her debut solo special, Door Khadi Sharmaaye (2023), was released as a four-part series on YouTube, filmed at the Bangalore International Centre. The special draws from over a year of live touring and blends personal storytelling with observational jokes about modern Indian life. She later served as a mentor and judge on Comicstaan Season 3 (2022). Her comedy is rooted in her experiences growing up in small-town UP, navigating big-city corporate culture, dating, and contemporary relationships.
