About Tretan Muslim
Aditya Muslim (born 10 March 1991), known as Tretan Muslim, is an Indonesian stand-up comedian, podcaster, actor and radio broadcaster. Tretan was a contestant in Stand Up Comedy Indonesia on Kompas TV in its third season in 2013. Tretan is an alumnus of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya, where he took the D-3 Nursing study programme (graduated).
Tretan was the first contestant from Madura to perform in the Stand Up Comedy Indonesia competition. Previously, Tretan worked as a nurse at a hospital in Surabaya. When performing solo comedy, Tretan introduced himself with the title "MM", meaning Madura Move On. Tretan was eliminated in the top 6 round. Together with fellow stand-up comedians Praz Teguh and Arif Alfiansyah, he formed a stand-up trio called Overacting in 2014. He then became a YouTube personality under the account name Tretan Universe, known through comedy programmes such as "Tretan Barber Soup" and "Last Hope Kitchen".
Tretan and Coki Pardede formed a comedy group called Majelis Lucu Indonesia, and the two popularized the "Pemuda Tersesat" content featuring the preacher Husein Ja'far Al Hadar. On 20 October 2018, Coki Pardede together with Tretan were accused of blasphemy against Islam, stemming from a video he uploaded to his YouTube channel about how to cook pork; on 30 October 2018 the two agreed to take responsibility by deciding to resign from Majelis Lucu Indonesia.
