Ami Anidjar

Before he was a stand-up, Ami Anidjar was a theatre kid from Hod HaSharon. He set up a drama programme at his own high school, spent his army years with the Air Force Theatre and graduated from the Nissan Nativ acting studio in 2001, after which he appeared in productions at the Khan Theatre in Jerusalem.

Comedy took over through live entertainment. Between 2001 and 2008 he toured Ami and Eli, a show he created and performed with Eli Ben David, and he later turned to younger audiences. Amiela, which he launched in 2013, was presented as the first stand-up programme made for children, and in 2018 he created and performed the sketch series Katzratzrim for the Junior channel. Screen work runs alongside this, with parts in Israeli youth series and in the films Jesta and The Letter.

His touring programme Tzchok Menatzeach (Laughter Wins) is built for army bases, companies and schools. In 2021 he published Bekarov Tihye Sameach, a book about keys to a happy life, and the same title is used for his podcast.
