Asaf Mor Yosef

Mor Yosef grew up in Safed and moved to Tel Aviv after his military service, where he worked the open mics. He became a house act first at a stand-up marathon in the Carousel theatre, then for three years at the Comedy Bar, and later at the Camel Comedy Club and the Stand Up Factory. That is the ordinary Israeli route, and he took it the long way round.

The act leans on the face and the body. Expressions arrive faster than the sentences do, and the physical work carries jokes that would look thin written down. He has run his own show since 2014, performs in Hebrew, and in 2023 became the first Israeli stand-up to play Hangar 11 in Tel Aviv.

On television he appeared on The Club with Shahar Hason, was invited by Tzvika Hadar onto the programme Comedy Star, recorded a full-length stand-up special for Reshet 13 and joined the sketch and stand-up programme Stand-Up Club on Kan 11.
