About Giora Zinger
Giora Zinger (Hebrew: 讙讬讜专讗 讝讬谞讙专) was born on December 16, 1983, in Ukraine. He immigrated to Israel with his family from the former Soviet Union as a young child and grew up in a Russian speaking household in Israel, an experience that later became central to his comedy. Before turning to comedy full time, he worked as a software engineer for the SQLINK Group. Zinger began performing stand-up in 2005, during his military service, taking part in open mic nights at Tel Aviv comedy clubs such as Camel Comedy Club and Comedy Bar. He built a wide following through a YouTube channel featuring stand-up clips and comedic material drawing on the experience of Russian speaking immigrants adjusting to Israeli life, and in 2025 he released a mini stand-up special titled Cartoon Nightmares. His act covers growing up in a Russian speaking home, immigrant family life, relationships, parenthood, and the realization of having become like one's own parents. Beyond Israel, Zinger has toured internationally, performing Hebrew language stand-up shows for Jewish and Israeli communities in North America, including dates in San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, Ottawa and Edmonton, with further United States and Canada tour dates scheduled into 2026.
