About Rina Padwa
Rina Padwa learned her craft at the Beit Zvi acting school and then spent 1980 to 1983 at the Lee Strasberg studio in New York. Her first professional stage part came in HaMelech Ubu, and at the Khan Theatre she joined a project that set theatre scenes against passages from Bertolt Brecht.
In 1990 she and Adina Tal founded Event Theatre. The two worked as a duo for 17 years, making entertainment about social questions, women's lives and growing older. Out of that practice came Knafayim, the association she set up in 2005 so that artists going through mental crises or living with cognitive disabilities could create and perform their own theatre.
Television audiences know her as Dalia Malkin in Ramzor on Channel 2, and from 2016 to 2019 she acted opposite Tzvika Hadar in the series Latzvi Yesh Be'aya. On film she appeared in Jellyfish, the 2007 feature by Etgar Keret and Shira Geffen. Next to her acting she does stand-up in Hebrew and is a regular guest at the Storytellers Festival curated by Yossi Alfi.
