About Yair Orbach
Yair Orbach is a comedian and screenwriter from Israel's religious-Zionist community, and a good part of his stage work was written with observant audiences in mind, including a whole show made for religious crowds. He began at the Camel Comedy Club, and the wider public first met him on The Academy for Laughter, a reality contest broadcast on Channel 2.
Satire on the page and on screen has been his second trade. He co-wrote a season of Matzav Ha'Uma, served as lead writer of Brain Drain, the satirical column in the newspaper Makor Rishon, and has taken part in the satire programme Ad Kan! on Kan 11. After some twenty years of live shows he announced that he was stepping away from stand-up.
