Yossi Gavni

Yossi Gavni, born in Bat Yam in 1982, first reached a national audience in 2004 on a Channel 2 reality competition for comedians. He appeared as one half of the duo Yossi and Tiran, with Tiran Bibi, and the pair made the final, finishing second.

He began working on solo stand-up in 2007. Between 2012 and 2014 he took part in all three seasons of a comedy programme on Hot Comedy Central, and from 2014 he did stand-up for children on Hatzchukiya, a Nickelodeon show.

Much of his later work is written as well as performed. In early 2015 he set up the comedy team Be'erech with Giora Zinger and Omer Borstein to make funny videos for the internet, and in 2018 the comedy series Caesarea Express, which he wrote and created with his partners, went on air.
