Isabel Fernández

Isabel Fernández, often referred to as Isa Fernández by fans, is a Mexican stand-up comedian and entertainer from Querétaro, born on October 19, 1986. She studied Communications and worked at a production company before pivoting to comedy in 2017, performing in small bars around her hometown. Her residency at La Caja Popular, one of the most well-known comedy bars in Querétaro, led to a featured spot on Comedy Central México and eventually a coveted seat on Eugenio Derbez's LOL: Last One Laughing México. With more than 340,000 followers on Instagram (@isabelstanup), she is one of the most recognizable female voices in the Mexican stand-up scene.

Isabel Fernández taped her first full-length stand-up special, Tengo Prisa, on March 4, 2023 at the Teatro Metropolitano in Querétaro. The hour, directed by Alex Díaz, plays on her self-described accelerated personality and what she calls the inside of her head: family, dating, anxieties, and the absurdities of being a thirty-something woman in Mexico. Before the special she was a regular on Comedy Central México's stand-up showcases, including her widely shared set Cagándose de Miedo. In 2023 she joined the cast of LOL: Last One Laughing México season 4 on Amazon Prime Video, sharing the set with stars including Mauricio Castillo, Faisy, and Mariana Treviño. Outside of the stage she co-produces the YouTube talk show Dos Mujeres Una Copa and the autobiographical series Cuando Nadie Me Ve, where she riffs with other female comedians and friends. In 2024 she also appeared on the reality format Abandonados en Asia, broadening her exposure to general audiences. Her style mixes observational comedy with autobiographical storytelling, often built around relationships, anxiety, and the experience of being a single woman from a Mexican province.

Isabel Fernández tours regularly across Mexico with stops in Querétaro, Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara, and the Comarca Lagunera region. Her stand-up special Tengo Prisa is available to watch on her YouTube channel, and her LOL: Last One Laughing México season 4 appearance can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video. New episodes of Dos Mujeres Una Copa and Cuando Nadie Me Ve are published on YouTube.
