Rayen Dinesh Gangaram Panday is a Dutch stand-up comedian and cabaret artist of Surinamese-Indian descent, born in Zaandam in 1983. He has been a member of Comedytrain since 2016 and is one of the most internationally active Dutch comedians of his generation, with stage credits on Netflix and Amazon Prime and a busy theatre tour schedule.
Rayen Panday performed stand-up for the first time at an open mic in 2008 while studying law, and shortly after won the audience prize at the Groninger Studenten Cabaret Festival. He was selected by Netflix as one of three Dutch acts for Comedians of the World (2019), in which he talks about being single in his thirties and the two types of people in the world. He has also appeared on Amazon Prime in Last One Laughing (LOL) Nederland. His co-hosted podcast Voor de show with fellow comedian Stefan Pop runs since 2020. He toured the show Karma in 2023-2024 and is performing his current programme Grip across Dutch theatres in 2025 and 2026. His act blends autobiographical Surinamese-Dutch material with cultural observation and storytelling. He has performed internationally in Estonia, Denmark, Belgium, India, Suriname, Curacao, Aruba, Thailand and the United States.
He also performs Comedytrain club nights at Toomler in Amsterdam and English-language sets internationally. His Netflix special Comedians of the World is available on the platform, and clips are on his YouTube channel and Instagram.
