Samir Fighil

Samir Fighil is a Dutch stand-up comedian and cabaretier born on November 21, 1981 in Marrakesh, Morocco, and raised in Nijmegen. A born storyteller on stage since 2011, he draws on the different worlds he lives between, mixing recognizable narratives with sharp observations and impersonations. His 2019 Personality Prize at the Cameretten Festival confirmed his arrival as one of the more distinctive Dutch comedy voices.

Samir Fighil has performed as a cabaretier since 2011 and won the Personality Prize at the Cameretten Festival 2019, his career-defining breakthrough. He premiered his solo show FOMO in 2023, examining the desire not to miss anything and themes of social pressure, identity and inequality. He is also a co-organizer of Nijmegen's East Side Comedy Night and has appeared on the public broadcaster competitive quiz De Slimste Mens in 2026. His comedy combines imitation talent with character work and storytelling that lets audiences from very different backgrounds recognize themselves.

Samir Fighil is currently touring Dutch theaters in 2025-2026 with his solo program, including stops at venues such as Zwolse Theaters. He is also a regular at Nijmegen East Side Comedy Night, which he co-organizes. Tour dates and upcoming shows are listed on samirfighil.com and his Instagram (@samirfighil).
