Sara Kroos

Sara Kroos has kept a steady rhythm of theatre programmes, most of them running for two seasons. Honger, the show that won her the audience prize in Leiden, was followed by Lam, Zoetgevooisd, Bries and Boheems, then Voor de leeuwen, Van Jewelste, Doorgefokt!, Zonder verdoving, Verte and Prikkelarme Kermis. Zoetgevooisd brought her the Neerlands Hoop in 2006, and Verte was awarded the Poelifinario in 2021.

Songwriting is part of the work too: her song Nachtkaravaan won the Annie M.G. Schmidt-prijs in 2009, and the Zonta Award had earlier named her best new female talent. On television the improvisation show De Lama's, whose cast received the Televizierring, made her widely known, and she later presented Kinderen voor Kinderen and sat in as a regular guest on In Goed Gezelschap. On NPO Radio 2 she hosted Sara op Zondag from 2010 to 2014, and she has written columns for the magazine Viva.
