About Wouter Monden
Wouter Johannes Monden (born 5 September 1980 in De Meern) is a Dutch stand-up comedian, MC, presenter, voice-over artist, lyricist and audience warm-up performer. He attended Niels Stensen College in Utrecht from 1992 to 1998, then worked as a bus driver in the Utrecht region while pursuing a brief singing career, before studying Music Management at Fontys University of Applied Sciences from 2000 to 2002. He began his comedy career in 2010 and in November of that year won the jury prize of the Culture Comedy Award. Since 2017 he has toured the Netherlands with his own solo shows, including Geen Punt (2021) and Stormbrein (2023). Monden has warmed up studio audiences for television programmes such as Zondag met Lubach, De Avondshow and Pak de Macht, and contributed to shows including Dit Was Het Nieuws and The Roast of Johnny de Mol. He also created and hosts the Elektra Podcast, in which he interviews figures from the Dutch comedy and cabaret scene about the worst performances of their careers.
