Comedians born in Meerut

Steeped in Indian history as the spark of the 1857 uprising against British rule, Meerut is a major city in western Uttar Pradesh within the National Capital Region. Today it is an important commercial and industrial centre, particularly renowned for manufacturing sports goods and musical instruments. Bustling and densely populated, it lies within easy reach of Delhi. As India's live comedy circuit widens, touring stand-up increasingly plays to audiences in cities like Meerut.
