Comedians born in Ranchi

Ranchi serves as the capital of Jharkhand, a mineral-rich state in eastern India carved out of Bihar in 2000. Set on the Chota Nagpur plateau, the city enjoys a relatively temperate climate and is ringed by waterfalls and hills. With India's stand-up comedy boom spreading from the big metros outward, cultural venues and college campuses in growing state capitals like Ranchi increasingly welcome touring comedians and open-mic evenings.
