Comedians born in Gugulethu

Gugulethu is a township rather than a separate city, established on the Cape Flats southeast of central Cape Town during the apartheid era. Its name means "our pride" in Xhosa, and it remains a densely populated community with a strong presence in music, culture and everyday South African life.

As part of greater Cape Town, it shares in a city and country known for a lively, world-recognised comedy scene, including comedian Loyiso Gola.
