El Capi Perez studied Communication Sciences at the Universidad Autonoma de Aguascalientes and began his television career at TV Azteca Aguascalientes, hosting a regional grupera music program. He joined the national morning show Venga la Alegria in 2014 following the departure of a previous host, quickly becoming one of its most popular figures through sketch comedy and spontaneous humor.
