Christian Åkesson
About Christian Åkesson
Christian Åkesson, who grew up in Staffanstorp, was on stage with Lundaspexarna early on and made sketches with Gina Dirawi before his own breakthrough. That came with the comedy show Partaj, where his impressions of goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson and politician Jimmie Åkesson made his name; he also led the programme's year-end special, and Partaj later moved onto the stage at Cirkus.
Impressions stayed at the centre when he became comedian and host of the TV4 entertainment show Mumbo Jumbo, taking on a whole gallery of public figures. With Mikael Riesebeck he created the series Kurt & Lang, in which he also acts, and his other screen work includes Ana Gina Show, Ballar av stål, Solsidan and the SVT series Herr Talman.
Musical theatre brought him the stage production Trazan och Banarne. Among his honours are Kristallen and Det svenska Humorpriset, the second of which he has won more than once.
