Christmas Hills is a small rural locality on the wooded ridges north east of Melbourne, close to the vineyards of the Yarra Valley. There is no real town centre: the area is made up of scattered farms, bush blocks and country properties, with forest covering much of the rest.
It lies within touring range of Melbourne's comedy scene. Comedian Celia Pacquola was born here.
