Comedians born in Mount Isa

Mount Isa rises from the red ranges of outback north western Queensland, a mining city whose skyline is set by the stacks of an operation producing copper, lead, zinc and silver. It is isolated by distance, and its rodeo counts among the largest in the southern hemisphere.

Shift work and big events together give touring performers a solid crowd. Comedian Stephanie Tisdell was born in Mount Isa.
