Comedians born in Maranguape

Maranguape lies among green hills near Fortaleza in Ceará, known for cachaça production and for the cool, forested serra above it. Ceará has a reputation for humour, and Maranguape has a particular claim on it: Chico Anysio, a much loved figure in Brazilian comedy, was born in the town.
