Comedians born in Memmingen

In the Swabian part of Bavaria on the edge of the Allgäu, Memmingen is a historic former free imperial city with a well-preserved old town of patrician houses and towers. The Twelve Articles drawn up here in 1525, during the German Peasants' War, are often cited as among Europe's first written declarations of human rights. As Germany's comedy circuit spreads, local cultural venues increasingly host touring stand-up alongside the region's cabaret.
