Bob Koomen
About Bob Koomen
Bob Koomen (born 1993 in Hoorn, Netherlands) is a Dutch stand-up comedian and cabaret artist based in Amsterdam. He became an official member of the Comedytrain collective in 2020 and is known for a bizarre, dry, and deadpan style of comedy. Before going full-time in comedy he studied movement science and worked as a rehabilitation researcher.
Koomen reached the final of the Leids Cabaret Festival 2025 with his show 'Peer,' which then went on a Dutch theater tour. He performed at the Lowlands festival in three consecutive years, in 2023, 2024, and 2025, one of the rare comedians to receive a return invitation that often. In June 2025 he made a guest appearance on Arjen Lubach's late-night satirical show 'Lubachs Comedy Club,' delivering a routine about MDMA in an emergency kit that has accumulated significant views on YouTube. Starting April 2026 he tours his first full-length theater program 'Peer,' a show about a man convinced he is a genius the world refuses to recognize. Before comedy he worked as a beach lifeguard, translator, and awning courier.
Bob Koomen is on a full Dutch theater tour with 'Peer' starting April 2026, with confirmed dates including Comedy Club Haug in Rotterdam, Theater Bellevue, Parktheater Eindhoven, and Posttheater. He also performs regularly with Comedytrain at Toomler in Amsterdam. Clips are available on YouTube, including his Lubach appearance. His official website bobkoomen.nl maintains a current tour schedule and newsletter.
