Comedians born in Hilversum

Hilversum sits in the wooded Gooi region of North Holland and has long been the centre of Dutch radio and television broadcasting, with its Media Park home to the national networks. The town is also known for the modernist buildings of architect Willem Dudok.

As the hub of Dutch broadcasting, Hilversum has close ties to the country's comedy output, with television and radio comedy made alongside live cabaret. It is the hometown of comedian Peter Pannekoek.
