Comedians born in Bolton

Bolton is a town in Greater Manchester, in north-west England, that grew into a major cotton-spinning centre during the Industrial Revolution. Framed by the West Pennine Moors, it retains grand Victorian architecture, including an imposing town hall, and remains a busy commercial and cultural hub.

It lies close to Manchester, one of Britain's strongest comedy cities, whose circuit and touring acts draw audiences from across the wider region, among them comedian Sophie Willan.
