Comedians born in Surbiton

Surbiton is a leafy suburban district of south west London, inside the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, with Victorian villas and a station that carries commuters into the capital. It was the setting for the British sitcom The Good Life, which gave it a gentle comic reputation.

Quiet and prosperous, it lies within easy reach of the many comedy clubs in London, and venues nearby form part of the capital's live circuit. The comedian Julian Clary was born here.
