Comedians born in Holyhead

Holyhead is the largest town on Anglesey, standing on Holy Island off the northwest coast of Wales. It is known above all as a ferry port linking Britain with Ireland, and its harbour, its breakwater and the sea cliffs at nearby South Stack give it a windswept maritime character. Serving as a gateway between two countries lends the town a busy, transient feel.

Pubs and community venues here run live entertainment, and touring comedy is gradually reaching towns of this kind. Comedians born in Holyhead include Dawn French.
